Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, .08-.115 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (curved); circinate or sub-helicoid (apex not enlarged), .8 µm long, 3.5-5.5 µm in diameter, hyaline, few or numerous, 10-20 per mm², growing between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, geniculate (bent) (or abruptly bent), thin (throughout or very slightly wider near the base) or moderatly thick, not ramified, aseptate.
Asci: 4 asci per ascocarp, not stipitate, 40-60 µm long, 35-45 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.
Ascospores: c. 4 per ascus, spores 4 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 20-25 µm long, 10-15 µm wide; septa absent.
