Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, amphigenous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Rhus sylvestris Siebold & Zucc.; Rhus, Anacardiaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, .106-.147 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (146-243 µm long, width increasing upwards); circinate (closely), 1-1.5 µm long, 6-7 µm in diameter, hyaline, few, 11-16 per mm², growing between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, stiff and straight (and straight), thin or moderatly thick (below), not ramified, septate (a single septum at the base).

Asci: 10-13 asci per ascocarp, indistinctly stipitate, 59-70 µm long, 36-40 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate (fairly thick-walled).

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 6-(7) per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 19-25 µm long, 11-16 µm wide; septa absent.
