Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, amphigenous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Rosa acicularis Lindl.; Rosa, Rosaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, .103-.132 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (up to 150 µm in length); straight, up to 150 µm long, hyaline or pigmented (at the base, brown), few, 10-15 per mm², ramified, dichotomously branched (3 times, tips of the ultimate branchlets not recurved), septate.

Asci: 6-10 asci per ascocarp, cylindrical (ellipsoid), 56-79 µm long, 33-54 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 15.4-23.8 µm long, 9.8-14 µm wide; septa absent.
