Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, .11-.13 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (ca. 110-165 µm long); circinate (apex not enlarged), 1-1.25 µm long, 5-7 µm in diameter, hyaline, numerous, 25-30 per mm², growing more or less between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, flexuose, thin or moderatly thick (sometimes at the base), not ramified, aseptate.
Asci: 3-4-5 asci per ascocarp, sub-globose or broadly clavate, not stipitate (usually), 50-56 µm long, 47-50 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.
Ascospores: c. 4 per ascus, spores 3-4 per ascus, ellipsoid, 25-36 µm long, 16-24 µm wide; septa absent.
