Exciple: Dark brown. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed; cells 1-1.5 µm wide. Hypothecium: Dark brown.
Asci: Clavate, 47-60 µm long, 12-15 µm wide; dehiscence bitunicate; exoascus not amyloid; ascoplasm dextrinoid (I+ red).
Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 14.5-16 µm long, 6.5-7 µm wide; septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; lumina of equal size; wall becoming pigmented, dark brown, ornamented (verruculose) or not ornamented.
