Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Perithecioid, forming inside the thallus or mycelium of the host, not emerging, 75-120-(150) µm wide, 100-150 µm high. Periphyses: Absent. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed; cells 1.5-2 µm wide.

Asci: Clavate (elongate).

Ascospores: Not uniseriate (biseriate), c. 8 per ascus, spores 8 per ascus, broadly ellipsoid, (15)-16-18-(19) µm long, (6.5)-7-8-(8.5) µm wide, obtuse (or slightly attenuated at the apices); septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; lumina slightly apically enlarged, constricted at the centre; wall thin (more or less smooth-walled), becoming pigmented, middle brown, not ornamented (more or less smooth-walled) or ornamented (verruculose, with gelatinous sheath often swelling with K).

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed.
