Ecology: Biotroph; lichenicolous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Diploschistes cinereocaesius, D. scruposus; Rhizocarpum obscuratum, R. reductum;Tichothecium arnoldii.

Thallus: Indistinct.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Perithecioid, forming inside the thallus or mycelium of the host, within the ascocarp disks of the host, not emerging, 80 µm wide, 100 µm high. Wall: Complete. Margin: External filaments absent. Periphyses: Absent. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed; cells 1.5-2.5 µm wide.

Asci: Clavate (elongate), 35-50 µm long, 10-5 µm wide; dehiscence bitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 9-11.5-(13) µm long, 4.5-6.5-(7) µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; lumina apically enlarged, constricted at the centre; wall thin (smooth), laterally constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, becoming pigmented, middle brown, not ornamented (smooth).

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed.
