Thallus: Crustose, squamulose; lobes ascending or horizontal; branches loosely aggregated, clustered, or densely aggregated; separate thallus parts 1-3 mm long; .5-1.5 mm wide. Primary Thallus: Evanescent or rarely persistent. Secondary Thallus: Present, arising from center of the primary thallus, of indeterminate growth; stipe 30-80 mm high, .5-1.6 mm wide, lime green or brown (light to greyish yellow-green (121-122, 120), dark yellow brown at tips), homogeneously coloured or tainted brown, corticate, with intact wall. Thallus Outline: Margin crenulate. Upper Surface: Lime green (medium to greyish-, (120-122)), smooth; not sorediate. Lower Surface: White.
Lower Cortex: Absent.
Ascocarps: Forming along the margin of scyphi, moderately abundant. Disk: Brown.
Conidiomata: Formed on podetia or on margins of scyphi.
Secondary Metabolites: Atranorin, fumarprotocetraric acid, or protocetraric acid, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsides or ß-orcinol depsidones.
Spot Tests: Upper surface: K + bright yellow (citrine, lemon), C , PD + red.
