Thallus: Crustose; branches caespitose (forming rounded heads, often in clumps). Primary Thallus: Evanescent. Secondary Thallus: Present, of indeterminate growth; stipe 40-70 mm high, .7-.8 mm wide, lime green (104), homogeneously coloured, with intact wall, 120-150 µm thick. Upper Surface: Verruculose (the tips having a thick, cottony appearance, with a verruculose surface occurring on older portions of the podetia), byssoid.
Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form. Ascocarps: Sparse.
Conidiomata: Formed on podetia.
Pycnidia: With reddish ostiolar gel.
Secondary Metabolites: Perlatolic acid, psoromic acid, and usnic acid (with conpsoromic acid).
Spot Tests: Upper surface: K (negative), PD + yellow (at the branch tips).
UV-Fluorescence: Reaction colour: bright bluish white.
