Park, 48deg.35' N, 123deg.34' W, 400 m, Pinus contorta, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Gaultheria shallon, and Salix sp., open forest, some rock outcrops, on Pseudotsuga menziesii, 19.VI.1975, W. J. Noble 4372 & A. M. Crane (UBC-holotype).

Ecology: Corticolous.
Thallus: Indistinct or crustose, not subdivided parts, granular or rimose. Thallus Outline: Soon disappearing. Upper Surface: Grey or green (grey); not sorediate.
Margin: Not flexuose or slightly flexuose, indistinct to distinct. Exciple: Brown (near hymenium, sometimes) or white. Epithecium: Apical cells brown (often streaking into hymenium). Hymenium: (45)-(70) µm high. Hypothecium: White or brownish yellow.
Ascospores: Broadly ellipsoid or ellipsoid, (10)-12.5-18.3-(21.5) µm long, (5)-5.5-7.2-(8.5) µm wide; septa present; 3-transversally septate; wall not constricted where the septum meets the spore wall.
